The Tdh Foundation global strategy 2021-2024 specifies that the will have demonstrated that rights-based participation, empowerment, and active involvement of children and communities in defining and implementing responses are essential to improve child protection.
∎ Context:
∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in Kurigram district, Dhaka district and Cox Bazaar district. Currently, Tdh is implementing programs on Health, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution) and Migration, integrated by the transversal expertise WASH and Child protection. Tdh interventions in Bangladesh are both in development and emergency context.
∎ Following the massive displacement of more than 800,000 people into Bangladesh since the end of August 2017, Tdh has put in place an important emergency response plan to provide relief to the Rohingya refugees, notably on Health, WASH, Child Protection and Social cohesion. Alongside, Tdh is implementing the CLARISSA project in Dhaka slums aiming to build a strong evidence base and generate innovative solutions to the worst forms of child labour (WFCL) and will explore how to take these solutions to scale.
∎ Tdh in Bangladesh has started the process of integration of emergency and development approaches and aims to capitalize its institutional learning for further programme expansion and to create critical pathways for evidence-based advocacy.
∎ PURPOSE OF POST:
∎ The post holder is responsible for day to day operation of lab facility. Will support the lab technologist and help to ensure the quality of the lab procedure, reporting and maintenance stock of the lab commodities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare indent for reagents and supplies in consultation with lab technologist
∎ Oversee the stock of lab reagents and the validity of lab supplies
∎ Assist lab technologist to enter the data on EMR
∎ Record keeping and reporting of patient's lab register
∎ Assist medical data assistant in compiling day-to-day reporting
∎ Assist lab technologists in quality assurance of lab supplies
∎ Assist lab technologist in preparing lab reports
∎ Ensuring proper storage of samples and packing for transport (from study site to external lab).
∎ Taking care of, managing and organizing efficiently the laboratory material/equipment
∎ Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Following the user manual and protocols and alerting the supervisor in case of malfunctioning
∎ Applying hygiene and safety protocols, doing daily cleaning, maintenance, sterilization, washing general glassware after procedures are done.
∎ Ensuring proper sample waste disposal according to national protocols and highest safety standards.
∎ Supplying orders, carry out stock, storage conditions follow-up, keep inventory.
∎ Analyzing lab reports for accuracy.
∎ Carry out other related duties as and when assigned by the management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Minimum 03 years experience, in particular, Rohingya and surrounding host communities will get preference.
∎ Clinical research center, Diagnostic center, Hospital Diagnostics, Lab and Diagnostics, Medical Technologist/ Lab Operator.
∎ Sound knowledge about QC control and calibration.
∎ In particular, working experience with full automated/manual centrifuge machines and microscopes.
