  • Age At least 23 years
  • Minimum 4–5 years of clinical laboratory experience; background in a tertiary care or specialized hospital setting is highly preferred.

  • Strong hands-on competence in operating modern clinical laboratory equipment, automated analyzers, radiologic equipment, imaging systems, and health information systems.

  • Proficient in the use of radiologic equipment and imaging systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and sound time-management abilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Willingness to work flexible shift schedules, including weekends and holidays as required.

Context:

The Leprosy Mission International Bangladesh (TLMI-B), a member of The Leprosy Mission (TLM), is an international Christian faith-based organization working since 1991 in close partnership with the Government of Bangladesh toward the vision of "leprosy defeated, lives transformed." TLMI-B delivers specialized healthcare, socio-economic rehabilitation, advocacy, and research to support individuals affected by leprosy, disability, and social exclusion.

As part of its healthcare operations, DBLM Hospital is currently expanding clinic services in Rangpur and inviting applications from eligible, proactive professionals for the position of Lab Technician.

Job Summary:

The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting routine and emergency diagnostic laboratory investigations, ensuring strict quality control and biosafety standards, and maintaining accurate digital records to support clinical decision-making and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency clinical diagnostic examinations (blood, urine, stool, tissue, sputum, and other bodily fluids) in accordance with standard operating procedures and physician requests.

  • Collect, receive, label, and properly process biological specimens adhering to biohazard and infection-control guidelines.

  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine daily maintenance and quality control checks on laboratory equipment and analyzers.

  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and explain sample collection procedures clearly to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.

  • Accurately enter test results, maintain patient diagnostic registers, and manage digital reporting in the Hospital Information Management System.

  • Monitor inventory, manage reagents and consumable supplies, and report equipment malfunctions promptly.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, physiotherapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure prompt delivery of critical diagnostic results.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Monthly Consolidated Salary BDT 33,318.00 as per TLMI-B policy.
