1. Assessing Patients: Monitoring vital signs, evaluating physical or mental conditions, and recording patient medical histories.

2. Administering Medication: Giving oral medications, injections, and intravenous (IV) infusions accurately according to doctor prescriptions.

3. Assisting in Procedures: Helping doctors during surgeries, clinical examinations, or complex medical procedures.

4. Wound & Wound Care: Dressings, managing surgical wounds, and ensuring proper infection control protocols are followed.

5. Emergency Response: Providing immediate life-saving care (like CPR) during medical crises.

   Supervising Junior Staff: Guiding and supervising junior staff nurses, student nurses, and medical assistants in the ward.

6. Shift Handover: Conducting detailed shift updates to ensure continuity of patient care between day and night shifts.

7. Duty Roster Preparation: Organizing duty schedules and assigning specific patient-care tasks to ward nurses.

8. Inventory Control: Checking and maintaining supplies of essential medicines, emergency drugs, and medical equipment in the unit.
