We are seeking a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Lab Technician to support our textile testing operations with precision, reliability, and technical expertise. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that every fabric meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

What you’ll do……  

• Perform a wide range of fabric physical tests, including but not limited to GSM, tensile strength, tear strength, pilling, shrinkage, dimensional stability, and abrasion resistance, following established standards (ISO, AATCC, ASTM, or buyer-specific methods).

• Conduct colour fastness testing such as washing, rubbing (crocking), perspiration, light fastness, water fastness, and saliva fastness using approved testing protocols.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment including spectrophotometers, washing machines, crock meters, tensile testers, pilling boxes, and light-fastness machines.

• Use a spectrophotometer to measure colour shades, analyze colour differences (ΔE), prepare shade reports, and ensure colours meet customer tolerances.

• Record, analyze, and interpret test results accurately, ensuring all data is reliable, traceable, and compliant with QC/QA requirements.

• Prepare and submit daily test reports, ensuring timely communication of non-conformities to supervisors or the quality team.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized laboratory environment, ensuring all equipment is properly handled and maintained.

• Taimly Communicate with 3rd party lab

• Follow all laboratory SOPs, quality standards, and safety guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate test performance.

• Collaborate with the quality, production, and R&D teams to resolve issues related to fabric performance or colour variations.

• Keep up-to-date with new testing methods, equipment upgrades, and best practices in textile testing.
