∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Bachelor Degree in Social Welfare/Social Work/Sociology/Management/Education from any recognized university or equivalent.
∎ Proven experience as Job Placement Officer especially in skills development sector.
∎ Sound knowledge on market survey and business development.
∎ Knowledge on job market and prevailing market trend.
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint.
∎ Good interpersonal, Negotiation & Facilitation skills and ability to liaise effectively with people at various levels.
∎ Good Communication skills in Bengali, English and Local language -verbal and written.
∎ Good in organization, coordination and project management skills.
∎ Ability to learn and use any software adopted by Muslim Aid.
∎ Awareness of industrial clusters in terms of sectors and locations.
∎ Ability to develop sound, credible and reciprocal relations with industry.
∎ Ability to work in and with a diverse team.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in the development of participants through work placements and providing support tailored to their needs.
∎ To coordinate and establish networking and partnering with other agencies and maintain established and increase 'dynamic linkage' with the employers and employers' associations.
∎ Look for job opportunities for graduated trainees and create strong industry linkage.
∎ Guide the trainees in writing resume, understand their interest and requirement before seeking a job for him/her and others.
∎ Suggest market driven training courses to the trainees for trade wise job prospects.
∎ Provide career counselling to the trainees, Keep in touch with client from different organizations in order to stay updated with the new job vacancies that come up.
∎ Provide suggestions on how to maintain a good position and grow further within the organization standards.
∎ To support and organize employers' committee meeting, employers' day, job fair, Job hunting etc. with all members of the employment support team.
∎ Provide tips on succeeding in the interview to trainees. Prepare work plans schedules and reports for assigned activities.
∎ The role of the Job Placement Officer will be to facilitate the trainee to develop their writing capacity for preparing their resume. S/he will assist to find gainful employment for IsDB funded TVET projects pass out graduates, ensure up-to-date employable training contents for learner of the training centres and perform out-of-training centre activities relating to labour market, networking and linkage with other industries/organizations. Plan for employment (self & wage) of technical graduates (NTVQF, L-1) and maintain up-to-date database on labour market demand & supply. S/he will be a key member under IsDB funded TVET projects under the guidance of the project's Team Leader and direct supervision of the principal of the particular area's MAIT. S/he will contact with prospective employers and motivate them to providing our graduates and collect manpower requirement on respective trade and follow-up the workplace/training Centre regarding employment status regularly and arrange re-placement as per need for the dropout students.
