Responsibilities & Context:
∎ IT Manager, based in Savar, Bangladesh, will be responsible for managing information technology and computer systems, controlling and evaluating IT operations, managing IT staff, designing and implementing systems, ensuring data security, identifying and solving problems, and auditing systems . IT Manager is a member of Gildan’s Information Technology organization and reports to our Director, IT Asia.
∎ 1. User Engagement topics
∎ a. Ensure necessary support for installation and /or fixing of hardware and software issues for all IT users in the company by engaging on-site support engineers
∎ b. Liaise with regional colleagues and follow internal forums, user groups and discussion threads proactively to know about upcoming projects and ongoing issues
∎ 2. Business Engagement topics
∎ a. Capture and document BU-specific and company-specific requirements related to software (ERP /local apps /other off-the-shelf software) and hardware (project-specific or user-specific)
∎ b. Decide on license requirement for various solutions to fulfill and ensure best value for money
∎ 3. Infrastructure topics
∎ a. Ensure all infrastructure equipment are functional and operative with 99.5% uptime
∎ b. Create /modify necessary Service Agreements with regional teams and /or external service providers ensuring 24x7 monitoring, fixing glitches, applying patches etc.
∎ c. Manage and provision Windows Server, File Server, Application Server, Database Server, Print Server, DHCP Server, SCCM Server, NPS Server, vCenter Server in Microsoft-only platform
∎ 4. ERP topics
∎ a. Knowledge JDE and E1
∎ b. Act as the CR manager by capturing necessary user requirement and follow through the implementation by coordinating with external consultants
∎ 5. Local Applications topics
∎ a. Capturing necessary user requirement and follow up the implementation by coordinating with vendors within deadlines
∎ b. Taking data backup and perform recovery to ensure
∎ 6. Supplier /Service Provider Management
∎ a. Monitor current infrastructure components and plan replacement of devices and /or upgrade of services by preparing detailed description of products (BoM), services, delivery schedule, configuration and warranty
