Experience:
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology, or a related discipline.
A diploma in Computer Science/Engineering from a reputed institute will also be considered.
Certification in Networking (CCNA), Server Administration, or System Administration will be preferred.
Strong hands-on experience in server maintenance and server infrastructure management, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Sound knowledge of LAN/WAN setup, routing & switching, and network infrastructure, including OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, and QoS.
Hands-on experience with MikroTik routers and Cisco/Huawei switches; familiarity with BDCOM/Huawei access points is a plus.
Proficient in network troubleshooting, VPN, and related connectivity services; working knowledge of ISP infrastructure.
Familiarity with website/application hosting, domain management, and server security best practices.
Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery procedures for servers and critical data.
Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals, including UTP cable termination.
Basic familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure will be an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure and respond promptly to urgent IT/server issues, including outside regular office hours when required.
Good communication skills in both Bangla and English.
The IT Officer will work closely with all departments and locations to ensure timely resolution of IT issues, while maintaining strong coordination with vendors and service providers for uninterrupted IT support
Key Responsibilities
Ensure regular server maintenance and manage the organization's server infrastructure to keep the platform stable, secure, and running smoothly.
Monitor server performance, uptime, storage, and resource utilization; proactively identify and resolve issues.
Set up, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and other network equipment, including MikroTik (Hotspot, firewall, mangle, bandwidth control) and Cisco/Huawei devices.
Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy for efficient domain management.
Establish and maintain backup and data recovery policies and procedures for servers and critical business data.
Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners across the office; verify functionality of hardware and software components.
Manage company users' email/mail server configuration on Outlook, mobile devices, and webmail.
Maintain website/application hosting, domain, and server-related technical requirements in coordination with the development team.
Implement and maintain IT security measures, including firewall policies, access controls, and traffic monitoring, to protect systems and data.
Manage and maintain IT systems, including networks, servers, and CCTV systems, to ensure optimal performance and security.
Monitor day-to-day IT operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues across departments.
Provide technical support to all departments, in person or remotely, and maintain related documentation and reports.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT procurement, server hosting, and infrastructure-related needs; negotiate for cost-effective, high-quality products.
Take care of the administration of all IT devices, infrastructure, and assets of the organization.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies, software, and hardware solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Perform any other IT-related tasks assigned by management.
