• AWS ECS, RDS PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, Secrets Manager and CloudWatch.

During the first development period, you will help deliver:

• Development environment, API foundation, database migrations and CI/CD.

• Trusted tenant context and automated cross-tenant isolation tests.

• Vendor, source, product, variant, attribute and category foundations.

• One complete ingestion path from source data to validated PIM records.

• Tenant catalog selection, retailer overrides, catalog projection and public API.

• Clear API, database, workflow and testing conventions for the engineering team.

• Lead implementation of secure, maintainable backend modules and REST APIs using Node.js, TypeScript and NestJS.

• Design PostgreSQL schemas, relationships, constraints, indexes, migrations and efficient queries.

• Implement multi-tenant data isolation using server-controlled tenant context, authorization rules, PostgreSQL RLS and tenant-aware database constraints.

• Build the catalog and PIM foundation for global products, retailer-owned products, variants, attributes, brands, categories and retailer catalog overlays.

• Build reliable data pipelines for CSV, XLSX, JSON, XML, APIs and SFTP sources.

• Implement ingestion stages from raw data and observations through validation, normalization, matching, review and catalog publication.

• Develop background workflows, retries, idempotency, transactional outbox processing and scheduled jobs.

• Integrate external services and business systems through secure APIs and webhooks.

• Work with search, caching, object storage and API-driven retailer storefronts.

• Build authentication, authorization, RBAC and platform administration features.

• Collaborate with frontend developers on React/Next.js interfaces, API contracts and integration issues.

• Establish coding standards, review pull requests, mentor developers and help break work into deliverable milestones.

• Write and maintain unit, integration, API and end-to-end tests.

• Investigate application, database, integration and data-processing problems.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of professional software development experience, with strong candidates considered based on demonstrated capability.

• Strong Node.js, TypeScript and JavaScript experience.

• Practical NestJS experience or experience with a comparable structured Node.js framework.

• Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, including relational modelling, transactions, migrations, indexes and query optimization.

• Experience designing secure REST APIs and versioned OpenAPI contracts.

• Experience building SaaS, multi-tenant or permission-sensitive applications.

• Understanding of tenant isolation, authorization, RBAC and secure server-side data access.

• Experience with background jobs, queues, scheduled processing or workflow systems.

• Experience with CSV/JSON/XML imports, data validation and third-party API integrations.

• Working knowledge of React and Next.js sufficient to collaborate with frontend developers and make backend-integrated UI changes.

• Experience with automated testing, Git and GitHub workflows.

• Ability to communicate clearly in English and work effectively with a Dhaka-based product and engineering team.
