∎ Tetra Tech is excited to invite applications for its USAID Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE) Internship Program - Youth career development in the Bangladesh Energy sector. Prospective applicants include recent graduates in STEM (Science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics) or related disciplines from reputed universities, who are interested in developing a career in the Bangladesh energy sector, for an opportunity to gain practical working experience in energy related activities.
∎ Overview of the BADGE Internship:
∎ The BADGE internship program will offer recent graduates in STEM (Science, technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or related fields from reputed universities who are interested in developing a career in Bangladesh`s energy sector, for an opportunity to gain practical working experience in energy-related activities. In today`s highly competitive job market, a degree alone is often not enough to secure desired employment. Many employers are interested in graduates who have hands-on, applicable work experience. The program aims to provide an opportunity for students and recent graduates to put into practice the education they have received, gain practical experiences, obtain a perspective of a work environment, and benefit from mentorship through our experienced and resourceful employees. At the same time, the program intends to increase youth participation in Bangladesh`s energy sector through involvement in USAID`s BADGE activity. The experience of working as an intern in BADGE will motivate the young stars to pursue a career in the energy sector.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh with occasional field visits (if needed)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The interns will work closely with BADGE technical, cross-cutting, and operations teams, and be mentored by the respective thematic area leads. Each intern will perform the following roles and responsibilities in accordance with their respective thematic areas:
∎ Coordinating with thematic area-related partners and stakeholders.
∎ Developing and reviewing documents as required.
∎ Participate in workshops. meetings, training, and field visits (if required).
∎ Following up on the grants and innovation programs/ project implementation.
∎ Contribute to the designing and developing of relevant templates/tools for data collection.
∎ Assist with data collection process with aggregation, and data entry for analysis under the thematic area.
∎ Take notes and prepare meeting minutes, social media content, and the creation of infographics.
∎ Support in organizing different project-related workshops, meetings, and events.
∎ Other tasks as assigned.
∎ Deliverables:
∎ Each intern will work with their respective mentors and prepare a work plan, outlining tasks and deliverables, within one month of their internship.
∎ Each intern will submit a detailed report upon completion of the internship.

∎ Strong interest in career development in the Bangladesh Energy Sector.
∎ Demonstrable skills in analytical thinking, communication, and research.
∎ Good ICT competence, command of Microsoft Office packages, using email and internet professional and social media, and searching skills.
∎ Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
∎ Ability to work proactively and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
∎ Willingness and capability to travel in remote areas and deal with local communities on BADGE activities.
∎ Language:
∎ Excellent knowledge of Bengali and English language with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
