Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in ass Communication and Journalism
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the ERC team in their day to day activities-75%
∎ Help to publish the communication materials
∎ Assisting coordination with various stakeholders advised by ERC Manager
∎ Assisting social media management
∎ Producing presentation materials
∎ Help manage the official website.
∎ Assist ERC team to provide required support when necessary
∎ Assist ERC team in writing news, press releases, and reports
∎ Help translating contents
∎ Help design works
∎ Design and develop new content taking instruction from team leader and teammates.
∎ Capturing photographs when required;
∎ Attend IRB organized as well as other organization’s meetings, seminars, webinars when required
∎ Advocacy, Networking, and Communication-25%
∎ Create linkages with Ministries and other Government Institutes advised by ERC Manager;
∎ Establish networking with NGOs and INGOs as advised by the ERC Team
∎ Establish linkage with local service providers as advised by the ERC team
∎ Other Requirement-5%
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Participate in seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if required.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge in illustration, good communication skills, media literacy, photography knowledge, and graphic design skills.
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/ Basic Internet/ etc.
∎ Excellent Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening skills for English & Bengali
