Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree (Hon's) in any discipline, preferably majoring in Finance and Accounting
Job Context:
∎ GIZ Bangladesh is currently seeking applications for the position of "Intern" from candidates who are attending a course of further study of which the completion of an internship is an integral component or have graduated no more than six months before commencing the internship.
∎ Contract Duration: 3 months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for:
∎ Support Contract, Procurement and IT unit of GIZ Office Dhaka mainly in the areas of archiving and filing.
∎ Support the Unit in other processes so that all activities are executed in an effective and timely manner.
∎ Interact and communicate positively and productively within the organization
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Areas to learn and support:
∎ Support Area:
∎ Filing hard copy of all contracts (Financial Agreement, Local Subsidy, Lease Agreement, Consulting firm, appraiser etc.) and other relevant documents in each contract folders according to GIZ filing system.
∎ Scanning all the contracts and archive them in "B- Contracting" and DMS.
∎ Collect paid invoice copy from Finance unit against contracts, place them in each contract folder and update Payment Status accordingly.
∎ Scanning all the work order and archive them in "E-Materials & Equipment" and DMS.
∎ Collect invoice copy from Finance unit against work order and place them in each procurement folder.
∎ Ensure proper labelling of contract and procurement folders and develop a list of archiving folders location.
∎ Update procurement and contract index record in common drive.
∎ Assist in preparing reports / excel sheet on contract and procurement data when necessary.
∎ Updating IT documentation as required.
∎ Assist in organizing workshops if required.
∎ Support team in any additional task that may be assigned.
∎ Learning Area:
∎ Learn about contract and procurement related tasks with on the job experience in the following areas:
∎ Invoice filing system of GIZ Office Dhaka related to contract and procurement
∎ Filing process of overall contract and procurement (soft and hard copies)
∎ Learn about procurement and IT process.

∎ Strong communication and inter-personal skills
∎ Excellent command on MS-Office especially in MS Excel
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla language
