∎ Inclusive livelihood opportunity for Covid-19 affected households in three districts of Bangladesh is a one-year project under Muslim Aid UK, Bangladesh Field Office (MABFO) which aims to equip its technical and vocational institutes with more resources to train community members and help them gain the skill they would require getting into a job. The development of skills can contribute to structural transformation and economic growth by enhancing employability and labor productivity of the community during Covid-19 situation. Investment in a high-quality workforce can create a virtuous cycle, where relevant and quality skills enable productivity growth which result in more and better jobs for the current workforce and more public and private investment in the non-traditional skills. This project will facilitate Muslim Aid Institute of Technology (MAIT) in Jashore, Rangpur, Mirpur and Mohammdpur under MABFO to increase the employability and productivity for both the current and future workforce.
∎ This 12 months project will take the initiative to increase livelihood opportunities for youth and families across 3 districts in Bangladesh, by supporting MAIT in Jashore/Rangpur/Mirpur/Mohammadpur through updating their facilities, delivering 12 livelihood training modules, alongside additional business materials for selected trades, conducting a job fair, supporting beneficiaries with covid-19 materials, conducting a covid-19 impact study on the TVET sector, and providing cash grant to selected families.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Teach assigned courses
∎ Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
∎ Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus
∎ Provide Interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting
∎ Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
∎ Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis
∎ Respond to student questions on a timely basis
∎ Identify and refer at-risk students to specific academic support services
∎ Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
∎ Act as a substitute as needed
∎ Where applicable, ensure safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment and supplies
∎ Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
∎ Participate in and provide feedback to institutional committees and reporting.
∎ Work with the Principal and other appropriate groups or stakeholders on retention activities.
∎ Provide mentoring to new faculty
∎ Assist relevant govt. bodies of education or senior managers in program evaluation and planning
∎ Attend regularly scheduled in-services and discipline specific professional development activities.
∎ Responsible to maintain credentials as required by accrediting councils/agencies and regulatory

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of three years of experience in relevant field.
∎ Website design experiences a plus.
∎ Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Package Design software desired.
∎ Proficiency in Word and Outlook
∎ Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills, as demonstrated by: data sheet, diplomas, degrees, transcripts, certifications, CVs/Resumes, and personal interview.
∎ Strong organizational skills

Salary: Tk. 18000 - 25000 (Monthly)
