Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The IIF Assistant must support the IIF manager in the grants and contract management lifecycle and is responsible for updating a database for grant and contract application status and other solicitations.
∎ Support to IIF Manager to conduct risk assessments and periodic site visits to ensure that the grants program is following all Chemonics and USAID regulations.
∎ Ensure that grant and contract files, both hard copy and soft copy, are documented appropriately and are audit-ready, and also ensure that grants and contracts data are up to date in Chemonics SharePoint system and the Result Management System (RMS), as needed.
∎ Assist the IIF manager in reviewing cost proposals and procurement under In-Kind Grants. Ensure compliance with guidance and regulations provided by USAID and the Grants Manual.
∎ Support IIF Manager in administrative and financial oversight of Activity grants and subcontracts. Review milestone deliverables by ensuring USAID compliance along with Chemonics policy and support timely payments to grantees and vendors.
∎ Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding grant-related inquiries and gather required information.
∎ Assist the IIF Manager by providing information for the grant’s tracker and flag potential issues and discrepancies for the IIF Manager's attention.
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by the IIF Manager or higher management consistent with the overall nature of the Activity.

∎ JOB CONTEXT
∎ Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking qualified candidates for multiple positions for the five-year USAID Feed the Future Bangladesh Horticulture, Fruits, and Non-Food Crops Activity. The activity supports the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) food security objective by increasing the private sector’s capacity to increase productivity and production of quality horticulture, fruits, and non-food crops that meet international standards. The activity will also strengthen the value chain, linking Bangladeshi smallholder commercial farmers, and other value chain actors towards increasing the efficiency of the market system to meet domestic and international market demands. The result will be a more competent private sector and efficient market systems that will increase farmers’ income and improve the food security of Bangladesh.
∎ The IIF Assistant will support the Innovation Investment Fund (IIF) Manager in the management and administration of the Activity grants and contracts. The IIF Assistant will also work with the Finance Manager to ensure timely payments to grantees, subcontractors, and vendors. This position will do day-to-day work with the collaboration of the Activity team members.
