Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the entire denim wash plant, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Develop and implement efficient washing, finishing, and drying cycles to meet daily production targets and delivery schedules.
Optimize machine utilization, chemical consumption, and water usage to minimize costs and ensure sustainable practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to washing, dyeing, finishing equipment, and chemical reactions.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations within the wash plant.
Lead the Wash R&D and Sample section to develop new and innovative denim finishes (e.g., whiskers, PP spray, tinting, ozone, laser, specialized chemical washes) as per buyer specifications and market trends.
Standardize washing recipes and processes for bulk production, ensuring consistency between sample approval and final product.
Monitor in-process and final wash quality against approved standards, conducting necessary checks and audits.
Minimize rejection and rework rates by identifying and correcting root causes of wash defects.
Manage the inventory of all washing chemicals, dyes, and consumables, ensuring timely procurement and cost-effective usage.
Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, production output, and quality checks.
Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international standards for chemical handling, waste management, and effluent treatment (ETP).
