∎ As a public-benefit Federal Government organisation, GIZ supports the German Government, particularly the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implementing development projects. In Bangladesh, GIZ is implementing the technical cooperation projects in the areas of energy, climate change, textile, human rights under the bilateral agreement, signed on 15 July 1972 between the Bangladesh and German Governments.
∎ For the team of our "GIZ Office Dhaka", we seek applications from suitable candidates for the position of "Human Resources Assistant".
∎ Contract Duration till: One year from the contract start date

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible to: Perform the specified commercial, organizational and administrative tasks correctly and on schedule in collaboration and consultation with the line manager, in accordance with the specified objective and with due regard for legal, contractual and internal requirements and procedure
∎ Assist in HR related organizational and administrative tasks
∎ Support HR specialists in performing their tasks
∎ Maintain appropriate internal and external communications
∎ Provide support for knowledge management and ongoing process development
∎ Maintain confidentiality in dealing with all HR related matters
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Tasks->Recruitment
∎ Place vacancy announcements in different platforms (online job portals, newspapers, etc.) both internally and externally
∎ Arrange interview venue
∎ Invite candidates and follow-up on confirmations
∎ Organize documents for the interview board
∎ Carry out the post contractual procedures with the new recruits
∎ Training
∎ Prepare participant lists/ attendance sheets
∎ Send out invitations to the participants and follow up on confirmations
∎ Arrange logistics for trainings
∎ Maintain/update HR training database
∎ Filling
∎ Create new files (i.e., personnel, salary, recruitment, training etc)
∎ Archive and update all necessary documents in NMA personnel files in hard copy as well as electronically
∎ Archive and update all necessary departmental documents in hard copy and DMS
∎ Update HR Database in consultation with HR Specialists
∎ Ensure standard GIZ filing and labelling is maintained
∎ General HR Services
∎ Draft / issue salary certificates, employment certificates, experience certificates etc. as and when required
∎ Collects and compiles personnel data from the GIZ office and projects as per requirement
∎ Handle incoming and outgoing documents of HR
∎ Support in distributing employees' payments related documents
∎ Serve as a point of contact for vendors and service providers of HR
∎ Handle HR related service queries
∎ Liaise with other departments and/or projects
∎ Support in the preparation of income tax related reports and certificates
∎ Carry out any other task assigned by the line manager/ management

Additional Requirements:
∎ Good communication and inter-personal skills
∎ Excellent command of MS-Office
∎ Professional English writing skills
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla
∎ Good knowledge in labour law is an added advantage
∎ Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
∎ Managing a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
∎ 1/2 years of working experience in HR field will be preferred.
