Job Context:
∎ Provide health care education to Rohingya communities along with assessment of health care needs, develop health education programs & perform targeted health care education interventions. Promote, maintain, and improve individual and community health by assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors. Collect and analyze data to identify community needs prior to planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs designed to encourage healthy lifestyles, policies and environments. May also serve as a resource to assist individuals, other professionals, or the community, and may administer fiscal resources for health education programs.

∎ Line Manager: Clinical Sexual and Reproductive Health Manager
∎ Contract Length: June 30, 2023

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducting assessments & surveys to determine health education needs.
∎ Collaborate with health specialists and civic groups to determine community health needs and the availability of services, and to develop goals for meeting needs.
∎ Design and distribute health education materials & aids, including job aids, video, audio clip, posters, images, IEC materials.
∎ Facilitating health education events, workshops, conferences & presentations.
∎ Identify strategic partnerships with organizations, and collaborators that promote health education.
∎ Develop operational plans and policies necessary to achieve health education objectives and services.
∎ Provide guidance to agencies and organizations in the assessment of health education needs, and in the development and delivery of health education programs.
∎ Provide program information to the public by preparing and presenting press releases, conducting media campaigns, and/or maintaining program-related websites.
∎ Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with agencies and organizations interested in public health care.
∎ Develop and maintain health education libraries to provide resources for staff and community agencies.
∎ Document activities, recording information such as the number of applications completed, presentations conducted, and persons assisted.
∎ Maintain databases, mailing lists, telephone networks, and other information to facilitate the functioning of health education programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 60 years
∎ Experience of working in the humanitarian context
∎ Minimum 1 year of proven experience working in healthcare education.
∎ Advanced ability to plan, implement, monitor & evaluate health education programs.
∎ Good skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Ability to document processes, maintain databases & provide access to resources.
∎ Language: English, Chittagonian
