Responsibilities & Context:

1.     Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term furniture sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Establish annual furniture sales targets, budgets, and growth plans. Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences within the furniture industry.

2.     Sales Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and area/zone wise targets.

  • Conduct regular sales reviews and performance evaluations. Set performance goals, KPIs, and sales forecasts.

  • Ensure effective sales forecasting and pipeline management.  

3.     Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, dealers, retailers, and corporate clients.

  • Identify and secure large-scale commercial, hospitality, institutional, and government projects.

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and major sales deals.

  • Expand and strengthen dealer, distributor, showroom, retail, and e-commerce sales channels.  Develop channel partner programs to improve market penetration.

4.     Revenue Growth & Market Expansion

  • Drive furniture sales growth across all sales channels (retail, dealer, showroom & exclusive showroom, and project business channels).

  • Expand market presence in existing and new geographic territories. Develop strategies to increase market share and customer retention.

  • Introduce sales initiatives to improve product penetration and profitability. Provide market feedback on furniture designs, pricing, and customer preferences.

5.     Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence. Analyze customer feedback to improve products and services.  

  • Address major customer concerns and resolve escalated customer issues and complaints promptly.

6.     Sales Operations & Reporting

  • Develop accurate furniture sales forecasts, budgets, business plans and demand projections. Monitor sales pipeline, order conversion, and customer acquisition metrics.

  • Prepare and present sales reports, market intelligence, and performance analyses to senior management. Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics tools to improve decision-making.

 

 

7.     Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to ensure all kinds of furniture product availability and timely delivery.

  • Collaborate with finance on pricing strategies, credit management, and profitability analysis.

  • Work closely with product development, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure product availability.

8.     Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare sales reports and presentations for senior management.

  • Analyze sales performance, market share, and revenue trends.

  • Develop action plans to address sales gaps. Forecast future sales and growth opportunities.
