Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in any discipline/ Marketing /Apparel Marketing /Apparel Manufacturing Management Technology/ Apparel Merchandising /MBA or M.Sc in Textile engineering from any private or Public reputed university.
∎ Candidates Having Professional Degree should be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for total Marketing and Merchandising department meet up the objectives and targets.
∎ Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
∎ Follow up activities from fabric booking to shipment.
∎ Follow-up and ensure timely approval of all samples.
∎ Understand and follow up customer procedures for order execution.
∎ Candidate must have sound knowledge on all types of woven garment fabrics, trims and accessories.
∎ Candidate must have strong knowledge of the garment supply chain.
∎ Candidate must be able to execute as per order's TNA.
∎ Must have the ability to understand current market trends and buying patterns.
∎ Ensure customer satisfaction through effective customer service.
∎ Liaise with technical team to ensure technical compliance of factory as per customers' requirement.
∎ Establish and manage an effective Product Development team (PD).
∎ Guide PD for development of seasonal products and establish costing if required.
∎ Supervise and provide coaching, guidance, counselling and training to the teams.
∎ Lead the teams to increase company profitability
∎ Ensure collection of order from buyer/buying house directly even sub-contract also at order crisis moment.
∎ Retain and grow businesses with existing customers.
∎ Develop new customers and business.
∎ Oversee and do costing and pricing of the garment and negotiations with the buyers to reach the final acceptable prices. The price quotation and cost sheet submitting to DMD/Chairman.
∎ Check all costing for price negotiation with buyer and then attend price & sample review meetings with buyer.
∎ Monitor and facilitate timely delivery.
∎ Follow up with relative departments such as production, planning, logistics, finance, HR, etc.
∎ Prepare and maintain effective reports on marketing and merchandising.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by contributing to reduce wastage.
∎ Maintain constant liaison with the factory and factory personnel.
∎ Carry out any other jobs as assigned from time to time by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 40 to 45 years
∎ Practical experience in denim and non-denim woven.
∎ Preferably 3-5 years' experience as DGM or GM.
∎ Need experience of handling global customers
∎ Need to be able to efficiently handle merchandising team
∎ Need to be able to efficiently handle customers (about 10 - 15)
∎ Commitment, attitude and ability to work as a team
∎ Need to be based in Savar/Dhaka on full time basis.
∎ Honest and open minded
∎ Must be able to take responsibility with honesty, sincerity, and professionalism
∎ Must have excellent communication skills
∎ Must have very good command of the English language
∎ Must be self-motivated and self-organized with a positive attitude
∎ Must possess the high degree of correspondence & analytical ability
∎ Must have teamwork abilities
∎ Should have experience in working with ERP
∎ Must be fully familiar with Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
