Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement the company’s legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk management, and legal compliance.
∎ Advise on property law, land rights, zoning laws, and regulatory compliance in the real estate sector.
∎ Oversee all legal aspects of land acquisition, development, and sale transactions, including title due diligence, contract negotiation, and regulatory approvals.
∎ Manage relationships with external legal counsels, ensuring they deliver quality work in line with the company’s objectives.
∎ Ensure compliance with local, state, and national real estate laws and regulations, including land acquisition, property taxes, environmental laws, and construction regulations.
∎ Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts related to property development, leasing, vendor agreements, and other business operations.
∎ Ensure that all contracts are legally sound and mitigate risks for the company.
∎ Maintain an organized system for contract management and ensure timely renewal, execution, and storage.
∎ Manage relationships with governmental bodies, regulatory agencies, and industry organizations to ensure timely approvals and adherence to legal standards.
∎ Oversee the legal aspects of land development projects, including zoning, land titles, environmental laws, and permits.
∎ Ensure proper documentation, preservation, and archiving of legal records, including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
∎ Oversee the process of registering sale deeds, power of attorney, lease deeds, and other legal documents with relevant authorities.
