• Postgraduate/Master’s Degree in any disciplines from reputed public university or UGC-approved/recognized private university preferably MBA/or any other professional degree holder.

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex compliance issues.

• Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.

• Demonstrated experience in compliance, risk management and or legal positions.

• Minimum 15 years of experience in banking along with a minimum 5 years of experience as senior leader including head of division in any Banks or Financial Institutions.

• Proven track record in managing large portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining quality.

• Sound knowledge of Bank Company Act, Islamic Banking Guidelines, Banking Rules & Regulations.

• Extensive practical knowledge of banking laws, loan recovery process and regulatory compliance etc.

Location: Head Office, Dhaka.

Core Responsibilities:

• Act as internal watchdog of the organization.

• Ability to contribute to the bank`s overall financial health.

• Offer training and support to employees on compliance issues.

• Uphold high ethical standards in all professional actions.

• Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify the compliance gaps.

• Prepare reports on compliance status and present findings to stakeholders.

• Liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain open communication on compliance issues.

• Responsible for total administration of Internal Control & Compliance (ICC) of the Bank.

• Mentoring and leading the different units of Internal Control & Compliance Division (ICCD).

• Monitor and assess the bank’s compliance with laws and policies both internal and external.

• Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the bank and its employees.

• Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence regulations/regulatory guidelines.

• Collaborate with departments/divisions/units of Head Office, branches/subsidiaries to assess and mange compliance risks including AML & CFT risks and other core risks as determined by the regulators.

• Experience on advising on improvements to operational excellence within the function and cross functions, ensuring clear lines of accountability & responsibility, preparing reports and submit it to the Managing Director & CEO in a timely manner.
