Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hospital’s mission and long-term goals.
∎ Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning.
∎ Provide financial insights and recommendations to the MD and executive team for decision-making.
∎ Monitor and manage the hospital’s financial performance, including revenue cycle, cost management, and profitability.
∎ Ensure efficient financial operations, including billing, collections, accounts payable, and payroll.
∎ Optimize cash flow management and working capital.
∎ Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Present financial reports to the Board of Directors, executive team, and other stakeholders.
∎ Identify, assess and mitigate financial risks, including those related to investments, liabilities, and operations.
∎ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, tax laws and other financial legal requirements.
∎ Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and accountability.
∎ Manage the hospital’s capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
∎ Oversee capital investments, including equipment purchases, facility improvements, and technology upgrades.
∎ Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
∎ Collaborate with department heads to align financial management with operational needs and goals.
∎ Serve as the primary financial liaison with external stakeholders, including banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
∎ Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Any other relevant task assigned by the MD.
