  • Age At least 26 years

Educational Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAB or an equivalent globally recognized professional accounting body

Experience: At least 12 years of working experience in a relevant working area, with 5-6 years in a leadership role.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans across business functions and departments.

• Conduct audits to assess internal controls, risk management practices, compliance, and operational effectiveness of all departments.

• Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

• Lead audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, stakeholder meetings, and report finalization.

• Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to management and the Board Audit Committee.

• Review policies, procedures, and business processes to strengthen governance and internal controls.

• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on corrective actions.

• Provide advisory support on risk management, compliance, and internal control matters.

• Conduct special audits, investigations, and other assignments as directed by management.

• Review compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and professional auditing standards, and notify the respective department to comply

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English & Bangla, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical ability.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure compliance with the Value Added Tax (VAT) Act, Income Tax Act and other applicable tax regulations in all business operations.

  • Prepare, maintain, and submit all statutory VAT and tax registers, returns, and related documents to the relevant authorities through both physical submissions and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) online portal in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Ensure the proper maintenance and preservation of VAT and tax records and documentation to facilitate regulatory audits by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and other government authorities.

  • Maintain effective liaison with VAT and tax offices, as well as other government regulatory bodies, and promptly address all regulatory requirements and queries.

  • Coordinate and oversee VAT and tax related activities across the Head Office, Factory, Commercial, Supply Chain, Distribution, and Contract Manufacturing divisions.
