Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in EEE or CSE or CE
∎ Skills Required: AutoCAD, C++, Digital Design, EDA Tools, Microcontroller, Power Electronics, Python
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design of analog and digital circuits for low-power and high-power systems.
∎ Take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the firmware, schematic design, and PCB Stack-up.
∎ Proto-type board bring-up, test, validation, debug, and documentation
∎ Support for manufacturing prototype, pilot, and mass production builds
∎ Documentation of detailed design specifications and implementation details.
∎ Uphold hardware and firmware design standards and methodologies.
∎ Realization of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
∎ Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree on system designs, interfaces, and protocols, etc.
∎ Participate in design, development, verification, troubleshooting, and delivery of high-quality firmware
∎ Deliver resilient and robust designs - lead and participate in technical discussions across engineering and product teams
∎ Work with the electrical team for hardware bring up and verification of new designs
∎ Work closely with the software and mobile teams for definition and implementation of frameworks used by devices for wireless communications
∎ Write low-level peripheral drivers needed for board and application bring up
∎ Strong Experience in Linux kernel, secure boot, device tree, Linux device driver and HAL layers
∎ Experience with OS Patching, Field Updates, and SELinux security hardening
∎ Knowledgeable in C/C++, VHDL and Object-Oriented Design/Architecture
∎ Knowledge of mobile device emerging technologies including Smartphone LTE architectures, wireless IoT- BLE/Internet connected devices, camera/video, touch screen displays, and other device drivers
∎ Experience working with network stacks and protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, MQTT, SIP, etc
∎ Ability to work well independently and in close collaboration with a remote team
∎ Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX)
∎ Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
∎ Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
∎ Experience with monitoring systems
∎ Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef)
∎ Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
∎ Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 year(s) in the relevant field.
∎ Knowledge and experience working with hardware SDK integration a huge plus
∎ Deep knowledge of electrical concepts and comfortable reading hardware schematics and debugging hardware at a board level
∎ Familiarity or experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and practices
∎ Passion for mentorship and a strong desire to lead a technical team
∎ Experience working with compliance and labs for device certification (FCC/CE/ETSI etc)
