∎ Tetra Tech is seeking a Grants Specialist for the USAID/Bangladesh’s new energy activity, Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE). The activity will improve energy security and resilience in Bangladesh by improving access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy systems, and promoting transparent and efficient energy markets. The activity will advance private sector investment, promote policy and regulatory environments favorable to the sector and investors, support entrepreneurs developing and distributing energy technologies, and convene platforms to share best practices in the management of the energy sector. Altogether, through June 2026, BADGE will support Bangladesh’s transformation to a developed, decarbonized, and inclusive energy sector.

∎ Support the development and revision of the grants manual, templates and forms in support of grantees
∎ Participate in the selection of grantees, including developing RFPs, reviewing proposals, and participating in evaluation committees
∎ Administer all grant activities including preparation of grant award package, management and close-out
∎ Coordinate and providing oversight to all grant activities
∎ Advise grantees on BADGE and Tetra Tech operational policies and procedures related to their awards
∎ Assess needs for and implement grant modifications on as-needed basis
∎ Coordinate with home office staff on due diligence and anti-corruption efforts for award of grants and payment of funds
∎ Monitor and review grantee milestone reports and process payments
∎ Organize for funding requests to disburse milestone payments
∎ Maintain and update grantees payment tracker
∎ Support the procurement of grantees and local technical assistance vendors
∎ Support the development of knowledge products, collection of performance indicator data and preparation of communication pieces
∎ Support the development of contractual deliverables and any other reporting
∎ Perform other relevant duties as assigned
∎ 5 years of relevant experience in the administration of grants and subcontracts supported by international donor organizations
∎ Demonstrated experience with USAID acquisition and assistance rules and regulations, including experience with the full cycle of grant making
∎ Prior experience in administering milestone-based grants for USAID-funded regional projects
∎ Expert knowledge and efficiency working with financial control processes, payment systems, results-based management, project monitoring, and management
∎ Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
∎ Strong Microsoft Excel skills, as well as a background in budget review and cost analysis to ensure maximum efficiency of grant resources
∎ Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) with strong oral and written presentation skills
