∎ Business : Tetra Tech is helping USAID ensure that energy supplies are resilient, promote development, advance US security and interests, and increase gender equity. Since 1983, we have delivered results for USAID and public sector energy projects in over 100 countries.
Stimulating economic growth. Tetra Tech has helped our clients created thousands of energy sector jobs. Tetra Tech has helped to deliver stable power, which gave businesses and consumers the confidence to sustain or expand their operations in, for example, Afghanistan, Georgia, Kosovo, Nigeria and across Africa.
Opening markets. Our renewable energy work has led to billions of dollars of US private sector investment. In Mexico, for example, over $9 billion of US investment is supporting new energy projects financed through the competitive auctions we helped design and implement.
Reducing corruption. Improved energy sector governance reduces corruption. In Kosovo, for example, we facilitated the transfer of over $600 million of revenue, which was being diverted into undocumented pockets, to self-finance the electric utility.
Increasing energy security. We are helping Eastern Europe diversify their fuel mixes, and increase their reliance on such allies as the United States to strengthen their security.
