Education:

    • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance
    • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Economics
    • Master of Science (MSc) in Economics
  • BBA/MBA (Major in Finance)/B.Sc./M.Sc. in Economics, Development Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering with minimum CGPA 3.00 from a reputed university.

  • Minimum 11 years of work experience, preferably in banking, financial institutions, or development projects related to energy, renewable energy, or climate-related financing.

  • Expertise in economic and financial due diligence for projects.

IDCOL, Bangladesh’s first Direct Access Entity to GCF, channels global climate funds into high impact projects. It has already secured the world’s largest GCF funded private sector project. It is also driving renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate resilience across the country.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s engagement with the Green Climate Fund and drive the strategic development, expansion, and delivery of the climate finance portfolio.

  • Proactively identify, originate, and pursue bankable climate projects and programs aligned with national priorities and GCF investment criteria.

  • Oversee preparation and submission of high-quality concept notes, funding proposals, and supporting technical, financial, environmental, and safeguards documentation.

  • Mobilize climate finance resources by collaborating with government entities, the GCF, development partners, private sector entities, and consultants.

  • Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, compliance, and reporting of approved projects in line with GCF standards and requirements.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the GCF Unit team while strengthening institutional systems, processes, and capacity for climate finance program development and execution.
