Job Responsibilities:
∎ Formulating business strategies: Plan and develop business strategies focusing on Marketing & Merchandising that balance customers’ (like H&M, Inditex, Uniqlo, Marks & Spencer, NEXT, s.Oliver etc.) expectations and organization’s objectives.
∎ Monitoring merchandising team: Manage and develop team based on team evaluation SOP and KPI. Be able to lead merchandising team. Activities to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery. Provide advice and suggestions on product design to meet customers buying objectives.
∎ Ensure the Marketing & Merchandising teams fully implement the approved SOP following best practice to manage risk in the project cycle from factory visit through to shipment. Ensure the teams have adequate resources to efficiently fulfill their objectives, with adequate systems and processes in place to meet expectations. Manage teams’ performance against key targets including cost savings, capacity planning, shipments and operating costs against budget as well as range of operational metrics. (On time delivery plus shipment, buyers score card management inspection pass rate, customer returns and profitability etc.
∎ Market analysis: Forecast market scenario, considering 10 million minutes target per month to achieve. Analyze sales figures, customer’s reactions and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock.
∎ Order collection: To collect export order from the buyer like H&M, Inditex, Uniqlo, Marks & Spencer, NEXT, s.Oliver etc.
∎ Product development: To develop the sample get the new buyer on board and coordinate design studio set up.
∎ Costing & Pricing: Negotiate about the product price with the buyer and confirm the sustainable pricing. Lead and coach the team in negotiating costs, lead times and MOQs to deliver savings and operating efficiencies.
∎ Order confirmation: To confirm the order details from the buyer such as quantity, size etc.
∎ Commercial activities: To confirm all the details about L/C with the help of commercial department.
∎ Material coordination: To maintain strong relationship with the suppliers, so that any item can be managed in time (Material sourcing capability).
∎ Material collection: Before going to the garment production, must in-house all the necessary materials. Ensure in-time material collection to respect the shipment date.
∎ Production planning: Prepare production planning for achieving targeted production and shipping the goods in right time. Work closely with production units to ensure that the customers’ requirements are properly interpreted and executed.
∎ Quality assurance: Ensure right quality and assure the products quality by using all possible ways.
∎ Final inspection: According to buyer’s instruction, to arrange final inspection for the order, which provides clearance for that order, whether it is perfect for shipping or not.
∎ Shipment: Ensure and monitor ship all the goods with the help of commercial department, where commercial department submits all the shipping documents to the port.
∎ Proper synchronization: Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities and time-scales. Participate in buyers meeting and customers buying meeting.
∎ TNA: Prepare and follow up of time action plan to confirm in time delivery of raw materials to the production unit to keep a pace with the production plan in each unit and each line.
∎ Claim: Manage customers’ inquiries and complaints.
∎ Sales strategies: Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
∎ Budget & profit forecasting: Forecast profits or sales and plan budgets.
∎ Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clear outs etc.
∎ Customer relations: Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals. Establish excellent communication channels with stakeholders to identify profit opportunities through direct sourcing and meet their product priorities source a robust supply base when required.
∎ Implement an effective vendor management strategy to deliver continuous improvement in supplier performance big lines bigger, leverage scale, introduce terms, eliminate underperformance drive your team to project manage the end to end critical path, leading cross functional colleagues in ensuring key milestones are met by valuable customers and suppliers.
∎ Remain up to date with industry’s best practices.
