Job Context:

∎ The Generalist Field Officer will act as the primary point of contact between the beneficiaries and the ICRC. He/She will receive questions, complaints and comments from callers from around the country and also share information on ICRC programs and criteria for eligibility with callers & will occasionally also carry out small surveys on behalf of the ICRC.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responds to calls, evaluates/assesses further action requirement and record call details in accordance with ICRC´s activities in Bangladesh.
∎ Follows up raised issues/feedbacks/complaints and/or refers to concerned department for further action, supports program teams to communicate progress of raised issues/complaints/feedbacks.
∎ Flags & reports any violation of ICRC principles/values.
∎ Analyse & identify more efficient ways to reach the voice of vulnerable groups.
∎ Regular reporting as & when necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Fluent command of English and computer literacy. Knowledge of Rohingya language will get added advantage.
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 years of total work experience in relevant field in relevant industry.
∎ Excellent knowledge of the assigned geographic area
∎ Personal qualities for the position:
∎ Excellent sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
∎ Ability to empathize to people who are in vulnerable situation in the country.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, respecting the established framework.
∎ Ability to define priorities.
∎ Ability to adapt to and work in a multicultural team environment.
∎ Team spirit and capacity to integrate a multidisciplinary approach.
