Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and execute R&D strategies for washing, dyeing, and finishing techniques aligned with market trends and customer requirements.
∎ Lead innovation projects to enhance garment aesthetics, durability, and eco-friendly processing.
∎ Stay updated on global trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable washing solutions.
∎ Research and implement advanced washing techniques, including enzyme wash, stone wash, ozone wash, and laser finishing.
∎ Develop and test new dyeing and finishing processes to improve color fastness, shrinkage control, and hand feel.
∎ Optimize chemical formulations to enhance efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
∎ Drive sustainability initiatives, including water recycling, reduced chemical usage, and energy-efficient washing methods.
∎ Work closely with the design and merchandising teams to develop innovative wash effects as per buyer specifications.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction.
∎ Analyze and improve existing washing processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
∎ Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
∎ Optimize machinery and resource utilization for maximum efficiency.
∎ Encourage collaboration between R&D, production, and quality teams for seamless execution.
∎ Develop and oversee lab testing protocols for fabric and garment performance evaluation.
∎ Ensure all washing trials are documented, analyzed, and approved before production implementation.
∎ Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and reports for future reference and knowledge sharing.
