• Candidate must be fully-computer literate and capable of using the full Microsoft Office Package.

A renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Washing Quality located in Gazipur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems (QMS) to ensure that all apparel and washing processes meet or exceed customer and industry standards.

• Oversee quality control (QC) inspections throughout the apparel production process, including fabric quality, stitching, trims, and final product evaluations.

• Monitor the washing process to ensure that garments meet specifications in terms of colorfastness, shrinkage, appearance, and hand feel.

• Work closely with the technical teams to ensure that processes are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining product quality.

• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the processes to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards across all product lines.

• Ensure that the organization complies with all industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements, including ISO, AQL standards, and environmental and safety regulations in garment washing.

• Maintain documentation and certification records related to quality standards and washing processes.

• Collaborate with fabric and trim suppliers to ensure that materials meet the company’s quality standards before production begins.

• Conduct supplier audits, provide feedback, and work with vendors to resolve any quality issues before production.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) teams across apparel production and washing units.

• Provide training and development opportunities for team members to ensure they are up-to-date with the latest quality management practices and washing technologies.

• Foster a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement within the organization.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving product quality, and enhancing the efficiency of washing processes.

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for quality issues, ensuring that preventive measures are put in place to avoid future issues.

• Introduce lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and enhance overall quality performance.
