Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee the entire production process, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and on schedule.
∎ Implement and manage production systems to optimize workflow and productivity.
∎ Monitor production KPIs and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
∎ Ensure high standards of quality are maintained throughout the production process.
∎ Develop and implement quality control procedures and systems.
∎ Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
∎ Manage merchandising activities for the factories, focusing on the export markets (US, EU, UK, Japan).
∎ Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
∎ Oversee product developments, including sampling and fabric booking.
∎ Coordinate ordering and sourcing of trims and other materials.
∎ Set up and implement systems for efficient management of the production and merchandising processes.
∎ Ensure all systems are in line with industry best practices and company standards.
∎ Continuously evaluate and improve systems to enhance operational efficiency.
∎ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of merchandising and production professionals.
∎ Foster a positive and productive work environment.
∎ Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
∎ Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
∎ Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock management.
∎ Ensure all operations comply with local and international regulations.
∎ Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory changes.
∎ Implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
∎ Prepare and present reports on production, quality, and merchandising activities to senior management.
∎ Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
∎ Make strategic recommendations based on report findings.
