Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented General Manager - HR & Compliance to oversee the Human Resources and regulatory compliance functions across our Group Garments Factory, which comprises six production units, including a dedicated Wash Unit. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of developing and executing HR strategies, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and fostering a positive, productive work environment across all factory operations.
Human Resources Strategy & Management
Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives and growth plans of the Group.
Oversee all aspects of HR across the six units, including talent acquisition, on-boarding, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and succession planning.
Drive a high-performance culture by establishing clear performance metrics and appraisal systems for all levels of employees.
Manage complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and disciplinary procedures.
Lead workforce planning efforts, ensuring the factories are adequately staffed with skilled personnel to meet production demands, particularly for the specialized Wash Unit.
Compliance and Ethical Standards
Ensure that all six factory units, including the Wash Unit, are in full compliance with local, national, and international labor laws, particularly those related to the garments industry (e.g., Bangladesh Labour Law, fire safety, building safety, and environmental regulations).
Serve as the primary liaison for all labor audits (e.g., Accord/RSC, Alliance, BSCI, SEDEX, client-specific audits) and government inspections, ensuring all documentation is accurate and readily available.
Develop, implement, and monitor effective compliance programs and policies, including a robust Code of Conduct and grievance mechanisms.
Manage the factory's social and environmental compliance reporting and initiatives, striving for best practices in ethical manufacturing.
Operations and Functional Leadership
Lead and mentor the factory HR and Compliance teams across all units, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
Partner with unit General Managers and Production Heads to address HR and compliance-related operational challenges efficiently.
Manage employee welfare programs and initiatives to enhance morale, engagement, and retention.
Develop and control the HR and Compliance budget across the Group.
