Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's or Bachelor Degree in social sciences, gender studies, public health, social work, humanities, law or other related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 4 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Location: Based in Camps, Ukhiya .
∎ Contract Duration: The duration of the proposed contract is up to November 30, 2020.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Community engagement and capacity building:
∎ Conduct regular bi-weekly meeting and training with the community men, women, boys and girls in support of the community volunteers.
∎ Ensure the meetings and training have been organised in a Gender sensitive way.
∎ Prepare and maintain/update detailed work plan(s) that support and achieve activities in line with project outcomes.
∎ Provide technical and management advice to the volunteer.
∎ Ensure the meetings and training been conducted on timely basis in consideration of quality.
∎ In coordination with the technical coordinator and support from Gender& protection Coordinator roll out the women leadership model.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3-4 years' experience with a minimum of one years' work experience of GBV in emergencies, protection, and gender programing, working with an NGO required.
∎ Experience of working with Men, Women, Boys and Girls of Rohingya community.
∎ Experience in conducting Gender training and knowhow of tactics and techniques of gender approach.
∎ Interpersonal skill
∎ Rohingya and chittagonian language fluently.
∎ Has skill on Bangla typing (English will be advantage).
∎ Must be comfortable and confident to attend and facilitate internal/external meetings.
∎ Clear understanding of gender, human rights, issues surrounding violence against women and girls.
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in team setting.
∎ Strong ability to organise work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritise work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and competing priorities and maintaining attention to details.
∎ REQUIRED: Fluent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla, Rohingya/Chitagonian. English advantage compulsory.
∎ Note: Candidate who has significant experience and knowledge on Gender and Women empowerment will be priorities and for them educational requirement will be relaxed.
