Job Context:
∎ Chemonics International, Inc., a U.S.-based international development consulting firm, is seeking a Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) Advisor for an anticipated USAID-funded activity that will support higher secondary education in Bangladesh.
∎ This position will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
∎ Employment Status: Full-time employee with benefits.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare gender strategy and gender integration plan to identify and address gender considerations, and help team and counterparts promote equitable learning outcomes.
∎ Conduct GESI analyses to identify barriers to equitable access and engagement among educators, leaders, and communities.
∎ Provide GESI-focused technical expertise and guidance to ensure that interventions are responsive to the needs of women, marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
∎ Promote GESI integration in curriculum and materials development, teacher and educational leader training design and delivery, and community engagement approaches, ensuring meaningful representation of women and diverse populations in Bangladesh, as well as making project materials accessible to teachers with disabilities.
∎ Provide GESI-related inputs and data for periodic progress reports, monitoring and evaluation activities, and other deliverables and/or communications products.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum five years' relevant GESI-focused technical experience, preferably including on USAID or other donor-funded programs, i.e., gender advisory services, gender mainstreaming, gender assessments, designing/managing GESI plans, delivering GESI training, and/or others.
∎ Experience implementing gender/GESI assessments, drafting and/or revising activity plans and work plans, and developing GESI integration resources to support project needs.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge of current GESI trends and gender mainstreaming topics and best practices, including development of gender sensitive indicators, gender-based analysis, and construction of clear gender targets.
∎ Advanced proficiency in English is required, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
