Candidate Technical Knowledge:

• Candidate should have strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, pattern making, grading, and fitting.
• Candidate should have expertized on proficiency in using garment technology software (CAD, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes and international quality standards (e.g. ISO, AQL).
• Experience with product development and costings.

• Candidate should have highly fulent on English Speking & writing & able to all over negotiaiton regarding with the communicaiton of UK Buyers;
• Candidate should have on strong focus on quality and precision in every stage of garment development and production.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Garment Technologist with a strong technical background and in-depth understanding of garment manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will act as a key bridge between design, production, and quality teams to ensure garments meet buyer specifications, cost targets, fit standards, and quality benchmarks. This role is critical to driving technical excellence and operational efficiency across the product lifecycle — from development to bulk production.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Development & Sampling:

• Analyze buyer tech packs, specifications, and construction details for new styles.
• Evaluate samples (proto, fit, SMS, PP, size set, and shipment samples) and provide comprehensive technical feedback.
• Suggest and implement cost-effective and production-friendly construction methods without compromising quality or design intent.
• Coordinate with pattern makers and sample room to ensure correct fit, grading, and measurement tolerances.
• Attend and conduct fit sessions with buyers or buying offices (physical or virtual).

Bulk Production & Execution:

• Conduct risk assessments and provide technical solutions prior to production handover.
• Work with production teams to ensure accurate replication of approved samples.
• Approve trims, accessories, and sewing methods before mass production.
• Monitor pre-production meetings and trial runs to identify and resolve technical issues early.

Quality, Compliance & Buyer Engagement:

• Maintain quality standards as per buyer requirements and international norms (AQL, ISO, ASTM, etc.).
• Implement and uphold technical and quality compliance during development and production.
• Liaise with buyers, merchandisers, and QA teams for technical clarification, problem resolution, and approvals.
• Ensure all garments meet fit, function, performance, and safety standards.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

• Drive process improvements to reduce rework, defects, and delays.
• Keep up to date with latest garment construction technologies, sustainable practices, and material innovations.
• Conduct training sessions for line staff on new construction techniques and buyer-specific requirements.
