Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 28 years
  • Bachelor`s Degree in Footwear Merchandising or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in footwear merchandising (non-leather category preferred).

  • Strong understanding of materials, components, and footwear construction processes.

  • Proven experience in dealing with overseas buyers and factories.

  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills in English and Bengali.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and email correspondence.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under tight timelines.



Responsibilities & Context:

Centro Footwear part of the Centro Group is a fast growing footwear trading company (buying house) headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a Design & Sales office in the UK and a Development & Sourcing office in China. We work closely with renowned international brands, with most of our production based in Bangladesh and expansion underway in China and Vietnam. Our product portfolio focuses on non-leather footwear, including casual, sports, and fashion styles.

We are currently looking for an experienced Footwear Merchandiser to join our team and manage end-to-end product development and order execution with our overseas customers and local factories.


  • Manage the full merchandising process from product development to shipment.

  • Coordinate with customers, factories, and internal teams to ensure timely sample submission and order execution.

  • Communicate daily with overseas buyers and suppliers regarding pricing, materials, and production status.

  • Develop cost breakdowns (CBD) and work with costing and sourcing teams for price negotiation.

  • Prepare and manage budgets, bulk material PIs and POs.

  • Possess basic commercial knowledge, as the role requires close coordination with the commercial team for material import.

  • Monitor production progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve issues proactively.

  • Maintain accurate order tracking, documentation, and reporting.

  • Support factory visits, buyer meetings, and development reviews as required.

  • Must be a strong team player, able to collaborate effectively across departments.
