Expertise in Product developing, gauge selection, and seasonal product planning. Familiarity with Jacquard, Intarsia, and Fully Fashioned Sweater production. Knowledge of sweater-related materials including wool, acrylic, cotton, blends, and recycled yarns. Experience working with sustainable buyers/brands is a plus. Strong in TNA management, costing, and technical file review. Proficient in MS Office, PLM, and merchandising software. Excellent communication, follow-up, and Sample coordination skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Manage development of new sweater styles as per buyer tech packs and seasonal trends.
Source appropriate yarns, trims, and accessories suitable for various gauges and stitch techniques.
Work with designers and buyers to suggest new constructions, washes, and finishes.
Evaluate supplier capabilities for yarn types and garment techniques.
Identify sweater factories based on gauge, capacity, and compliance standards
Negotiate prices, sampling timelines, and bulk production schedules
Monitor factory Production performance for quality, capacity, and delivery
Supervise Develop Samples, fit sample, size set, and pre-production samples (PPS) development
Ensure samples are submitted as per buyer schedule and with accurate technical inputs
Maintain clear communication with buyers regarding sample status, approvals, and revisions
Prepare cost breakdowns based on yarn price, gauge, stitch types, trims, and washing
Collaborate with buyers to finalize pricing within margin targets
Track yarn market prices and logistics costs to ensure accurate costing
Follow up from PO placement to final shipment ensuring all timelines are met
Monitor yarn booking, knitting, linking, and finishing schedules
Conduct pre-production meetings with Production Team and internal QA teams
Stay updated with seasonal sweater trends, stitches, and consumer preferences
Provide insights to buyers based on factory capabilities and yarn availability
Ensure correct packing, labelling, and shipment documentation
Coordinate with logistics for smooth export and buyer delivery schedules
Maintain accurate records for all samples, approvals, production files, and testing reports
Prepare and update cost sheets, order status, and factory performance reports
Support management with timely reports on delays, risks, and solutions
