Job Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth daily operation of hospital canteen and patient meal services
Coordinate preparation and timely distribution of meals to patients, staff, and visitors
Supervise food serving, portion control, and service quality
Monitor meal delivery to wards as per schedule and patient requirements
Work closely with doctors and nutritionists to ensure diet compliance for patients
Maintain records of special diets (diabetic, low-salt, liquid, etc.)
Ensure correct meal is served to the right patient at the right time
Ensure strict compliance with hospital hygiene and food safety standards
Monitor cleanliness of kitchen, dining, and food storage areas
Check food quality, temperature, and expiry regularly
Implement infection control and sanitation protocols
Supervise cooks, kitchen helpers, waiters, and cleaners
Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage
Train staff on hygiene, service standards, and hospital SOPs
Maintain discipline and performance of F&B team
Monitor stock levels of food items, beverages, and kitchen supplies
Ensure proper storage (FIFO method) and minimize wastage
Coordinate with procurement for timely purchase of supplies
Maintain inventory records and reports
Assist in budget control and cost management of food services
Maintain daily consumption and expense reports
Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources
Coordinate with hospital departments (nursing, admin, housekeeping)
Ensure smooth communication between kitchen and wards
Support hospital events, meetings, and special catering services
Ensure uninterrupted food service during emergencies (e.g., night shifts, disasters)
Be available for rotational duty, including weekends and holidays
Any other task assigned by authority.
