Job Context:
∎ GK was created in 1972 with two visions. Firstly, "the fate of the poor decides fate of the country". Secondly, "development of the country depends on development of women". Since 2017, Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) and UNHCR have entered in a partnership to respond to the Rohingya crisis in Cox Bazar & Bhasanchar.
∎ Working place: Cox`s Bazar(Ukhia, Teknaf)/Noakhali (Bhasanchar)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position is mainly responsible for logistic support for the smooth implementation of health facilities.
∎ She/he will do necessary maintenance of the facility structure in relation to water supply/waste management /electricity/generator support etc.
∎ Ensure record keeping of logistic materials (Receipt, distribution & use) and submit the monthly requirement to the supply chain unit of GK in order to avoid possible running out of logistics stock.
∎ Maintain leave register & communicate with HR officer for monthly attendance sheet prepare & submit for monthly salary.
∎ Logistics & Admin focal person will assist CM in the administrative affairs of the facility.
∎ Ensure maintenance of equipment & materials (AC, Generator......chair, table...... ) of the facility & take necessary action for repair in liaison with Logistics Department
∎ Prepare a report on monthly usage and submit it to the warehouse and verify any discrepancy in the stock and take preventive measures.
∎ Conduct monthly stock counts and report them to the GK management (health team).
∎ Ensuring the proper guidelines for using petty cash while incurring emergency procurement. Prepare and submit the bills related to petty cash on a regular basis for smooth financial operation.
∎ Manage the storeroom in the health facilities properly for smooth operation.
∎ Other key responsibilities include management of the health facilities- base staff, security staff, casual laborers, and drivers; facilitating procurement activities; warehousing and stock management; transport and asset management.
∎ Special Note
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted by the Clinic Manager / Logistic Department/ Finance department of GK from time to time and mutually agreed upon;
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshastha Kendra's interests in consultation with an incumbent.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ At least 1 year of experience in NGO/INGO and more than 2 years of working experience in infection prevention & control management in any reputed hospital/clinic/NGO
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in medical emergencies or humanitarian crises will be added advantages.
∎ Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;
Salary: Tk. 38000 (Monthly)
