Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fire and Safety
∎ Bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Fire Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
∎ Proven experience as a Fire Officer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
∎ In-depth knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and emergency response procedures.
∎ Well understanding of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.
∎ Analytical mindset with attention to detail and the ability to conduct risk assessments.
∎ Proactive approach to safety, with the ability to identify and address potential fire hazards.
∎ Training/Trade Course: Occupational Health and Safety,Fire Training Course

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop, implement, and regularly review fire safety policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize fire hazards within the factory.
∎ Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and inspections to identify potential risks and develop strategies for their mitigation.
∎ Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations.
∎ Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections, equipment testing, and emergency drills.
∎ Develop and implement emergency response plans to effectively handle fire incidents, including evacuation procedures, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression equipment.
∎ Organize and conduct regular fire drills and training sessions to educate employees on emergency response procedures and promote a culture of safety.
∎ Lead emergency response teams during fire incidents, ensuring swift and coordinated actions to control and extinguish fires.
∎ Liaise with external emergency services (fire department, medical services, etc.) and provide accurate information during emergency situations.
∎ Oversee the installation, maintenance, and testing of fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems, such as fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and fire doors.
∎ Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all fire safety equipment are operational and in compliance with safety standards.
∎ Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the repair and maintenance of fire safety equipment.
∎ Develop and deliver fire safety training programs to educate employees on fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and proper use of fire safety equipment.
∎ Keep up-to-date with the latest fire safety technologies, regulations, and best practices, and disseminate relevant information to the factory personnel.
∎ Conduct investigations and analysis of fire incidents to identify root causes, share lessons learned, and recommend preventive measures.
∎ Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and identify any areas requiring improvement.
∎ Prepare comprehensive reports on fire safety activities, including inspection findings, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
∎ Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to ensure fire safety is integrated into the overall safety management system of the factory.
