• Strong knowledge of woven fabrics, textile manufacturing processes, dyeing, finishing and quality standards.

• Excellent sales, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

• Strong network with international apparel brands, buying houses and textile buyers will be an advantage.

• Sound understanding of costing, pricing, order management and export procedures.

• Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

• Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.

Job Overview:

The General Manager – Sales & Marketing will lead the overall sales, marketing and business development activities of the Textile Division. The role is responsible for achieving business targets, expanding the customer base, strengthening buyer relationships, maximizing profitability and driving sustainable business growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve revenue, profitability and business growth targets.

• Achieve annual and monthly sales targets for the Textile Division.

• Identify, develop, and secure new local and international buyers while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

• Lead customer negotiations on pricing, contracts, product development, and commercial terms.

• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.

• Collaborate with Merchandising, Production, Planning, Commercial, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth order execution and on-time delivery.

• Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, demand planning, and business performance analysis.

• Ensure high customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and maintaining excellent service standards.

• Represent the company in buyer meetings, factory visits, exhibitions, and international trade fairs.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales & Marketing team to achieve departmental objectives.

• Prepare and present periodic sales reports, business forecasts, and market intelligence to top management.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase sales, market share, and customer retention.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• MBA will be considered an added advantage.

Requirements:

• 15–20 years of experience in textile sales and marketing.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership position.

• Proven experience in working with international buyers and managing textile business operations.

• Strong understanding of woven, knit, denim, yarn, or fabric marketing.
