Job Responsibilities:
∎ Job Summary: The Field Trainer is responsible for implementing the field-level activities directly with the program participant (for example, injecting/drug users and partners) who are practicing high-risk behaviors, which confers transmission of HIV/AIDS. S/he is also responsible for raising awareness based on the behavior change communication approach, delivering community services, and increasing safer behavior practices. The position holder will be the focal of Needle Syringes Distribution and Outreach related activities and one of the main roles of the person is strengthening the monitoring of the above two components. S/he will be supervised by SPDO (Outreach).
∎ He/she will use peer education and behavior change monitoring approach to provide community outreach services and to work with target groups jointly to identify their problems, needs, and solutions. The Field trainer is also responsible to assist for advocacy with the pertinent stakeholders, education for clients and other stakeholders, and creating a supportive social environment. S/he will provide training and supervise the outreach workers recruited from the target groups. S/he will also work for the empowerment of the target groups. S/he must be capable to work in difficult situations and have flexible working hours. S/he will be responsible to implement the NSEP program at the outreach level and ensure needle syringe distribution through depo holder/ mobile van and vending machine. S/he should undertake 90% of the time in the field.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 years of working experience in national or international NGOs, but will be given preference on working with People Who Inject Drugs (PWIDs) and are vulnerable to HIV/AIDS. Education qualification will relax for relevant experience candidates.
