Experience:

• He/She should possess bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years job experience/ Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 8 years’ experience.

• 5 to 8 years

• Should have more than 3 years’ experience in rural road and market infrastructure design & planning and construction work.

• Willing to reside in union/ upazila level.

• Spoken and writing skills both in English and Bengali.

• Should have excellent computer skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skill.

• Good understanding on road & market infrastructure design, estimation and costing and construction materials and equipment.

Job Context

The Feed the Future Bangladesh Agricultural Infrastructure Development Activity is a five-year initiative, implemented by Amentum. In Collaboration with Dhaka Ahsania Mission to accelerate the program activities. The Activity’s goal is to improve agricultural infrastructure to increase the availability of quality and safe agricultural produce for domestic, regional, and international markets that will benefit the agricultural value chain across the FTF zones.

Job Location: Upazilla level in Faridpur District.

Employment Status: Contractual Mood (as per project agreement).

Responsibilities:

He/She will be responsible to assist the Infrastructure Project Manager (IPM) to complete the project works timely stated below:

• Support IPM & DIPM by overseeing project construction work through verifying that subcontractors are meeting project scope and schedule.
• Review contract-related documents and provide comments about modifications as necessary to improve.
• Assist the subcontractor in preparing a realistic milestone work plan showing all activities as per the work breakdown structure for the project and other relevant documents.
• Carrying out supervision of civil works, evolving and implementing procedures for regular on-site checking, quality control, testing, and monitoring of work execution and construction methods.
• Oversees subcontractor material placement quality, schedule performance, and health and safety.
• Maintains daily records and assessment checklists. engages with target communities.
• Coordinates material testing with LGED.
• Leads subcontractor’s progress meetings.
• Identify project management issues arising from the monitoring of physical and financial progress, and report to DIPM & Copy to IPM.
• Maintain a day-to-day diary recording all events relevant to the work.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly progress updates and maintain regular reports as required by this activity and Amentum-PAE construction management procedures.
• Recommends subcontractor's milestones payment and cure notices if not performing.
• Oversees final walkthrough, inspections, and coordinates construction turnover.
• Identify design changes and submit Design Revision Request (DRR), assure RFI.
• Reports to the IPM.

• Grade-11, as per project budget.
