Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will be the main focal and the bridge to ensure engagement of the vulnerable communities, MAP participants and other local level stakeholders into the project.
∎ S/He will communicate with the local level CSOs, GOs, NGOs and other stakeholder to engage them in the project activities.
∎ He/ She will arrange the local level and Union, upazila and district level meetings, seminars, workshop and other relevant activities in promoting CDRFI.
∎ S/he will be directly reportable to the project manager and submit regular project progress reports and lessons learnt, achievements, and challenges.)
∎ Any other tasks assigned by supervisor/ management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years’ relevant working experience in any National/International NGO;
∎ Experience in conducting fieldwork, including the ability to collect and analyze data, identify risk factors and vulnerabilities, and assess the impact of climate and disaster risks on communities and individuals.
∎ Ability to engage with community members and stakeholders, including vulnerable groups, to understand their needs and priorities considering the climate change and disaster induced loss and damage, and to build partnerships and trust.
∎ Some experience in project management, including the ability to develop and implement work plans, monitor progress towards project goals, and report on project activities.
∎ Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and to report on project activities to line manager.
∎ Strong field level knowledge and experience in climate vulnerability of southwest coastal region of Bangladesh.
∎ Skills in Community Consultation and Process Facilitation;
∎ Effective Problem solver.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in local language and Bengali;
∎ Ability to work remotely in the field;
∎ Good understanding on issues related to gender equity and protection
∎ Basic understanding on climate finance in Bangladesh
∎ Basic computer knowledge and strong knowledge in facilitating PRA tools in field level
∎ Experience in progress reporting, data collection and reporting.
Salary: Tk. 30000 - 34000 (Monthly)
