Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Engage with local communities and stakeholders to raise awareness about climate change and disaster resilience.
∎ Organize workshops, seminars, and campaigns on preparedness and sustainable practices.
∎ Provide training and support to community and organizations in disaster and climate resilience efforts.
∎ Collect and analyze data on weather patterns, identify climate trends, vulnerabilities and climate politics.
∎ Gather information on climate finance, adaptation, and mitigation solutions.
∎ Develop materials on disaster preparedness and climate resilience for various audiences.
∎ Prepare reports and documentation of relevant events under the project and their impacts.
∎ Create informative materials to communicate climate and disaster information effectively.
∎ Economic Analysis: Conduct economic analysis to assess the project's contribution to the economic well-being of the targeted beneficiaries.
∎ Prepare economic reports outlining the benefits and outcomes of climate resilience initiatives of the project.
∎ Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
∎ Foster partnerships to support and implement climate and disaster resilience initiatives.
∎ AOSED is a non-government development organization working in the southwest region of Bangladesh since 1999. AOSED is implementing 'Adaptive Livelihood Towards Establishing Resilient communities-ALTER project' in the climate vulnerable Paikgacha upazila from April 2018. The project is in its second phase running from April 2023 to March 2026. Under this project, the organization is seeking eligible candidate to fill up the position of Disaster and Climate Change Officer on urgent basis.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
