Job Context:
∎ BACKGROUND OF GONOSHASTHAYA KENDRA AND THE PROJECT:
∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) is a National NGO. GK registered as a Public Charitable Trust in 1972 and started with two visions (a) "the fate of the poor decides fate of the country, and (b) "development of the country depends on development of women."
∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra Bangladesh and its partner Malteser International are two humanitarian organizations in Bangladesh that have been working on emergency programs since September 2017, post-emergency and development. GK is currently implementing a project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and Malteser International (MI) of "Improving the health and nutritional situation of refugees in Cox`s Bazaar and contributing to the peaceful coexistence of refugee and host communities". The goal of this project is to improve the health, nutrition, and psychosocial status of refugees while assisting host communities through health education in community level.

∎ Gonoshasthaya Kendra Bangladesh is looking for a qualified Field Coordinator for the project mentioned above who will be responsible for overall implementation of field interventions in in Bashan char ensuring quality delivery of tasks as per project requirement. S/he is also responsible for management, coordination, communication and progress monitoring of project activities at the field level, including field-level human and financial resource management.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Coordinator is overall responsible for the management, administration and successful implementation of the project in order to achieve the project goals and milestones in Bhasanchar.
∎ Develop effective implementation plan and ensure it is implemented in the field with active participation of technical team (doctor, paramedic, pharmacist, lab assistant)
∎ Coordinate in planning and provide programmatic guidance for project staff in collaboration with the medical officer in the field, and other stakeholders according to project guidelines and donor requirements;
∎ Supervise and coach project staff and others to ensure their professional development for program growth,
∎ Ensure appropriate, effective and efficient utilization of resources, logistics and project materials to field staff and others, following GK administrative, financial, gender, vehicle and other policies and regulations including Donor and Bangladesh Govt. required rules properly.
∎ Contribute in project monitoring & evaluation and prepare monthly and periodic reporting requirements.
∎ Act as MEAL focal person and ensuring collection, recording and analysing the project information, data to meet the requirement of monthly and periodic reporting
∎ Monitor progress of field team and provide regular updates to the Medical Coordinators, Project Coordinators and MEAL Manager where required.
∎ Work collaboratively and coordinate with local government agencies and administrations, represent the project at local level and collect approval/clearance as per project requirements.
∎ Ensure all administrative functions in the project locations ensuring utility, security, maintenance, and cleanliness services for the project office and health facilities.
∎ Establish and maintain liaison coordination with RRRC office, CIC, RHU, UNO, DC, CS, Naval authority in Bashan Char, other service providers, relevant NGOs/ INGOs, and government departments for smooth implementation of the service delivery.
∎ Work closely with the medical officer to ensure and facilitate service delivery as per the plan by ensuring all medical requirement.
∎ Maintain close coordination with GK's Project Office in Cox's Bazar for the timely supply of logistics and other medical commodities for the facilities to run the services
∎ Prepare the success stories/case study and share them with the relevant with project management.
∎ Facilitate donor visits ensuring permits, booking of facilities in Bashanchar
∎ Represent GK in the different meetings of Govt. and NGOs at the Bhasanchar, Hatia and Noakhali district level.
∎ Any work set within the reason and means by the authority of the organization
∎ Manage team, conduct periodic staff appraisal and support capacity building of staff in collaboration with HR department.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 3 (Three) years of working Experience in NGOs/ I NGOs with Humanitarian and Development Sectors.
∎ Knowledge in NGO-AB related forms such as FD-2. FD-3, FD-4, FD-5, FD-6, FD-7, and FD-9.
∎ Good Government liaison (DC, Civil Surgeon, RRRC, CIC, UNO, UH&FPO office
∎ Experience of working in health section will be an advantage.
∎ Good command in English, especially in analytical writing and speaking;
∎ Ability to demonstrate values, core purpose and principles of humanitarian work;
∎ Ability to work under pressure with self-awareness, cultural sensitivity, respect to diversity, flexibility and adaptability;
∎ Ability to make time to learn from experience and feedback, and apply the lessons to a new situation;
∎ Ability to document lessons learned and apply them to future projects;
∎ experience in writing reports, concept notes, proposals, meeting minutes, data spread sheet, presentation.
∎ Personal skills:
∎ Good communication skills
∎ Ability to cope with stress working in camp environment
∎ Flexibility to perform other tasks and take initiative when required.
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 65000 (Monthly)
