Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc)
∎ Graduate in Textile Chemistry or Textile Technology with experience of fabric processing (knitting, weaving, printing, dyeing and finishing etc).

∎ 10 to 12 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Dying quality, Fabric Inspection, Fabric Manufacturing, Finishing, Knitting, Printing, Weaving
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House, Garments

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Attend Risk Analysis and Fabric Handover meetings (for critical/new/high volume programs), follow through on actions discussed. Advise on wash-care instructions when requested.
∎ Working closely with PSM and garment makers in the production countries ensure any necessary garment tests that cannot be conducted in the fabric stage (e.g. if a garment wash is applied that may alter performance) are carried out during both the development and production stages.
∎ Control and monitor first bulk production of all new fabrics (or existing fabrics with new mills), to ensure the standards signed off during the development are maintained in production.
∎ Review and approve all first bulk submissions for color, hand-feel and appearance. Review all bulk fabric shade bands. Advise on garment wash shade bands when requested.
∎ Working closely with the Production Technicians in the garment producing countries, ensure agreed fabric standards and performance levels are fully understood and applied during garment production.
∎ Manage issues on the Fabric Escalation Chart and work with Suppliers and Merchandising teams towards resolution and timely decision making.
∎ Assess production problems related to fabric. Facilitate discussions between preferred mills and Garment Suppliers that relate to fabric failure. Facilitate, mediate, and follow through on claims.
∎ Responsible for accuracy of fabric quality information carried forward to preferred mill scorecards.
∎ Set out targets and deadlines to complete the above scope of work.
∎ Support on technical issues relating to trims and components, wash and embellishment, and accessories.
∎ Support the Business QEI initiative.
∎ Lead and drive the cross regional team on initiatives assigned by the RFTM, to meet CMSO Objectives.
∎ Assess and evaluate work and provides guidance and supervision to subordinates
∎ Maintain close contact with the approved 3rd party accredited labs and their representatives.
∎ Establish and maintain close working relationships with market leaders in the field of dyes/textile chemicals in order to promote constant improvement.
∎ Travel as required to fabric mills, garment vendors and their processing units.
∎ Coach and mentor the Fabric Technologist(s) with regards to C&A processes, tolerances and commercial acceptability.
