Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Fabric,wet processing, Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Technology
∎ Tertiary education, preferably in textiles, clothing, or business-related disciplines.
∎ Bangladesh University of Textiles,BGMEA University of Fashion Technology students will get preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Color approval (Lab dip/AOP/Bulk Fabric).
∎ Graphic/ print/ strike-off approvals.
∎ Fabric & product testing review, override approval.
∎ Color and fabric risk assessment during the development stage.
∎ Manage color standards and color palettes.
∎ Connect and liaise with approved testing labs.
∎ Work with tech/merch teams on care label/care code selections.
∎ Product Safety risk assessment.
∎ Color and fabric technical support to vendors/internal teams.
∎ Knowledge of testing requirements for international markets. Review & approve the Lab-dip of solid color at Spectrophotometer and visual. If rejected, comment for further submission. Closely follow-up with the vendor.
∎ Work closely with related departments, vendors, and Clients to resolve Lab Dip /Fabric/Development/Production issues and outstanding resolve effectively.
∎ Review scaling of AOP Strike off and approval of the color. If rejected on scaling, need to direct vendor for improvement and for color rejection, comment for further submission.
∎ Review and approve scaling of yarn strike-off the submission. If rejected on scaling, need to direct vendor for improvement. Review & approve/ reject, comment color of yarn-dyed.
∎ Analyze product test reports and comments & communication on failing points.
∎ Risk assessment of Fabric and color in the development stage.
∎ Identify vendor's KPI, new vendor train-up, and follow-up improvement. Arrange workshop with the vendor for their skill developments which would be delivered results on lab dip, color, and test result.
∎ Manage high-risk new vendors, with a detailed action plan which would be delivered results.
∎ Closely monitoring and follow-up seasonal color palette.
∎ Closely work with the cross-functional team.
∎ Closely work and follow up with testing labs
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 5+ years of experience in the color approval process (Lab-dip, AOP, Yarn Dye, Garment Dye).
∎ In-depth knowledge of various dyeing/ washing processes (Deep Dyeing, Tie-Dyeing, Garment Dyeing, etc.)
∎ Must have work experience on spectrophotometers and have detailed SOP.
∎ Superior color vision (as indicated by the Munsell Hue color test)
∎ In-depth knowledge on the various fabric processes - including weaving/knitting/printing
∎ Experience of USA retail will have an added advantage.
∎ Excellent organizational skills & communication (emails, charts, filing, managing by priorities)
∎ Able to work in groups and independently.
