Requirements:

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 30 years
∎ Strong understanding of fabric properties, textile testing methods, and the latest fabric technology. Knowledge of fabric inspection tools and techniques, including visual inspection, color matching, GSM testing, and other fabric property tests.
∎ Familiarity with garment manufacturing processes and fabric sourcing in Bangladesh. Knowledge of international standards for fabric quality (ISO, AQL, etc.) and how these apply to the local garments industry.
∎ Strong analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve fabric quality issues effectively. Ability to conduct root cause analysis for recurring defects and recommend solutions.
∎ Strong understanding of fabric properties, textile testing methods, and the latest fabric technology. Knowledge of fabric inspection tools and techniques, including visual inspection, color matching, GSM testing, and other fabric property tests.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Conduct detailed inspections of fabrics received from suppliers to ensure they meet the required quality standards and customer specifications.
∎ Review fabric properties like color, texture, finish, and weight.
∎ Perform physical and laboratory testing on fabrics, such as shrinkage, tensile strength, and color fastness.
∎ Develop and implement quality control plans for fabrics. Carry out checks throughout the production process, from incoming fabric to finished garments, to monitor fabric performance and identify any potential defects or quality issues.
∎ Identify fabric defects during inspection and production & take corrective actions by collaborating with the production team to ensure minimal disruption. Provide reports on defect trends and work with the team to eliminate root causes.
∎ Perform necessary fabric testing in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, AQL) to ensure compliance. Maintain test records, and ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and in proper working order.
∎ Maintain detailed records of fabric inspections, defects, and test results. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fabric quality performance and present findings to management. Highlight any challenges and propose improvement plans.
∎ Provide training to junior quality control staff on fabric inspection techniques, quality standards, and how to identify fabric-related issues. Regularly update the team on new testing methods or fabric trends.
∎ Work with the production team to optimize fabric usage and reduce fabric waste by suggesting corrective actions and preventive measures.
∎ Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality control processes and standards.
∎ Any other task assigned by the management.
