Responsibilities & Context:
- On receipt of purchase requisition, scrutinize the same from all aspects.
- Select Suppliers/Vendors by making sufficient evaluation of capabilities and price offered.
- Explore new sources of all major items.
- Prepare & manage PO’s in ERP software
- Negotiate prices keeping both short term and long-term vision.
- Have regular interactions with key stakeholders.
- Manage lead time in such a manner that minimum time is required between ordering and distribution, so that inventory cost is minimized.
- Be vigilant and ensure that the department is fully compliant with company policy of ethical practices.
- While at work, always keep in mind that ethical practices are followed.
- Any other job assigned by the management from time to time.
